| UPDATE - SNSD's comeback song....now this is interesting Wed 01 Jul 2009, 9:45 pm by SUJUDB I urge you all to listen to SNSD's new comeback song after you hear this one:
Compare with SNSD:
Now THIS is NEWS for me....gosh SM says Yoo Youngjin and another european composing company-Dsign Music AS (also helped compose one of SJ and Amuro Nami's songs).
So....did SM get rights to this song and the situation is the same as Mirotic? In which case, they sold it to DBSK and to Sarah Connor for copyrights in terms of region, but she released it first.
Or did SM copy it?? This is extremely....how do I say? Juicy. First with it's similarity to Rhianna's PDSTM and now another artist has the SAME song??? Released at an earlier date? wow...SM is really going downhill...
On the other hand I have concluded that SME has made some arrangements so the similarity between PDSTM and Tell Me Your Wish isn't speculated by the news.
Seriously... the issue with Mirotic totally pissed me off when their BIG COMEBACK song was already released....and then SHINee's issues with covers and their recent one with Juliette (of Corbin Bleu's Deal with it). Either SME needs to hire new composers or ask their composers to step out of their comfort zones and compose some music for their bands....nuff said.
----Just for laughs:
This self-made "scandals" spread by Soshi fans, making it out to be the doing of "antis" is bordering on well, InSanity.
There is a gif found of Jessica pushing Seohyun saying "Go Away" (looked like it) in a rehearsal. SNSD fans are instantly coming to the defence of:
InSanes wrote: They were being mean because they were planning a surprise party for her
Honestly, noone knew about it or cared, it was only pointed out by the Soshi fans and tried to cover it up instantly, as if "antis" were using it as this huge speculation of horrid behaviour, and like HOMG we're so outraged!!.
Now get over yourselves InSanes, we never doubted how rude these girls actually are, please do join the forums and lurk/post InSane philosophical psychobabble and see how little we care for these petty little things. Because well, its all "same old same old" with us.
And to add on to the hilarity of stupid publicity via "fanservice"/"self-promotion", the girls graciously went on ChinCHin to let the world of Netizens rest as they explained that Yoona peeked under Tiffanys skirt as a "concerned friend". Here's the video:
AH! WE CANT SEE A PATTERN! Thanks SM for the cheap ploys for attention, i... [ Full reading ]Tiffany grants the Ajusshis' wishes Mon 29 Jun 2009, 10:57 am by evile1690
In a recent performance of "Etude", SNSD's Tiffany again shows why she is considered the "tramp" in the group.
Said act was found out by none other than her SNSD co-member, Yoona, as she suddenly lifted up the skirt of Tiffany while on stage in front of fans...
Well hello~ NO SAFETY SHORTS!
What is dumbfounding is the fact that instead of Tiffany being castigated for not wearing any safety shorts on stage while wearing that mini skirt, netizens were debating whether Yoona did the right thing or not.
When all eyes are on you, and clearly fans are there looking at you on stage, you do not "lift up" a skirt for your own enjoyment. Clearly, this is " fan service" and we now know the real "concept" of SNSD with this mini album... Milk it all you can by being as perverse as humanly possible.
No matter how much you disagree with ones attire "onstage", you keep your disagreements off stage. That is, even if she was "disagreeing" anyway, Yoona being one of the youngest, should really know her place.
Far be it for said "netizens" to actually be perverted Sones who are just mad at Yoona for not showing them a glimpse of Tiffany's undies.
Seems that these recent actions of SNSD (concept, lyrics, MV, and now this) are making their name "Girls' Generation" more of a mockery than anything, pushing people's patience to the limit with their cheap gimmicks and scandalous imagery. They might as well just call themselves "Genie's Generation" since they are now catering to all of Sones' perverted fantasies without qualm.
credits to:QBee~ SNSD's "Genie" MV is out. The circle of MAJOR CREEPINESS is complete... Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:53 pm by Labakittie Okay so SNSD has finally released their MV for Genie. If you thought the giggling at the beginning and end of the song was creepy...it has NOTHING on the video, I guarantee you:
Pretty much all the female fans can sit down, even the younger male fans. This video isn't remotely ambiguous. The cutesy girlish opening pretty much makes it very clear who this is aimed at: The 30+ male crowd. Especially the whole interactive vibe (at 0:28 seconds I seriously thought that guy was gonna feel Soo Young up).
The entire theme of the video is basically this guy being able to "hang out" with the girls, pillow fight and what not. This is a sexual fantasy being played out, and I need only ever watch this once. Once will carry me a lifetime.
What's amazing is I've never seen this from ANY other SM group. No one else has to do this.
I don't understand why SM doesn't just re-name them to "Get You Off" Generation and be done with it. :/
As for the dancing? Boring choreography to match a boring song. No surprise.
EDIT:
Editing to add the live performance. *yawns*
UPDATED: SNSD puts their Nation to shame. Album release pushed back! Mon 22 Jun 2009, 9:50 am by bigbangislove Seems as though netizens (who I love) have been recently getting offended by SNSD's album cover. Why you may ask? Well check this out:
Is that the Japanese Zero-zen air-fighter?
For those of you who are savvy on your history (Korean history to be exact) the Airplane is an exact replica of the Japanese WWII Zero-zen fighter that the imperialist Japanese used to make kamikaze attacks! The only thing lacking is the Japanese flag!
Why yes, yes it is the zero-zen air-fighter!
Wow, not only is SNSD stupid, so is their management (but we already knew that).
Some netizens commented that "As the nation's representative idol group, they have hurt the feelings of Koreans", "Not just the fighter plane, the marine uniforms that they are wearing reminds one of the Japanese imperialism period." and of course stupid sones as usual will even compromise their race and morals to defend them "This is the fault of the album cover designer, SNSD has done no wrong." (We're not blaming SNSD, but this is still very wrong)!
SNSD's PR admitted that the plane bared similarities but refused to outright admit that it is a replica (of course).
SM commented, "The album cover for SNSD had been designed based on the marine girl concept, there's no hidden meaning to it at all."
South Korea is still hurt over WWII, how could they dare to be stupid enough to have a plane that remotely looks like the zero-zen fighter being Korean themselves? Why would a Korean group even want to use a Marine/Air force circa WWII theme for their "comeback"? Why!?
Seriously is SNSD's management striving to make them even more hated?
Are SM insinuating in any way that they don't even screen the progress of SNSD's "comeback"?
It's not even an amateur mistake, with any/every product that you release it reflects directly upon your company. Duh. Thus, SM must and will have to OK and stamp on every piece in order for it to be on the market. It bares their name and the reputation with it. Not forgetting the money from the shareholders.
For them to claim that it isn't a Japanese zero-zen air-fighter, they're claiming that something so damn obvious was made to go under their radar, or that they simply don't find it worthy of any bother.
So, um, all that violent history of constant war, assassination of your Royalty, enslaving the people and occupation goes down the toilet cos SM finds it OK to have the wor... [ Full reading ]My wish? Get out and Get Banned Mon 22 Jun 2009, 2:08 am by queenbee
I don't get it.. if they're supposed to be "Marine Girls", what's with the plane? O__o
As we were aware last week, the MP3 was going to be released on the 22nd of June, Korea time. And of course its out and STAND is being fair and giving you the opportunity to judge for yourselves the "quality" of music, through YouTube and a DL link available at the bottom of the article.
But before we get to the new messy single with the dirty meaning we knew was coming... Let's check out a way that SM finds it favorable to use for promotion!
Uhhuh, take a moment out and listen to that. The SNSD girls have disgracefully recorded their voices to say the tag line and title of their new single "Tell me your wish" for the Ajoushi fans to use for their fantasies. And word has it, it's well recieved... Um.. Why dont SNSD just take a job on one of those "booty call" hotlines and get it over and done with. Especially SooYoung, listen out for her.
And here is their new rush-job single, dont tell us we didnt warn you with how bad it is.
Who is who again? O_O Now not only are their faces looking the same, but their voices sound the same.
As with Bento Box's previous article, SNSD seems to have finally gone down to that path where only perverted ajusshis dare step on...
Check out the English lyrics, quickly noting the bolded parts (in spoiler):
- Spoiler:
Tell me your wish
Tell me that small dream you have inside of your heart
Draw that ideal person you have inside of your head
I'm your genie, I'm your dream, I'm your genie
Let's go, riding in the dream car
Sit next to me
Throw everything into my guidance
Even if your heart beat explodes
Even if you fly away with the wind
Right now, this moment, the world is yours
Yes, I love you
Always believe in me
My dreams, My passion
I want to give them all
I want to answer your wishes
I'm the goddess of your fortunes
Tell me your wish (I'm genie for you boy)
Tell me your wish (I'm genie for your wish)
Tell me your wish (I'm genie for your dream)
Tell me your wish (I'm genie for your dream)
Tell me your wish
Don't the boring days bother you?
Have you become buried by your ordinary life?
Now stop and wake up<...

Fanservice like no other... Fri 19 Jun 2009, 10:03 am by Bento_box
"Lap Dance, sir?"
No thanks.
That picture of Jessica pretty much sums up this new "image" for SMEs "Girls' Generation". SME prides itself in being coy with their fans, somewhat staying aloof and allowing the artists to do their "fanservice". So, you necessarily wouldn't see a song title named after the fanclub, unless of course the Fanclub was named after a previous song title. Having SNSDs FC name in the title here clearly shows their desperation with this one.
With all the new girls groups debuting and getting popularity fast, what have Soshi, or more inapropriately for this situation, "Girls' Generation", have to say to their ajoushi fans?
Tell me your wish!!
It's not a joke. It really isnt... I guess they'll do "anything the Ajoushi fans wish for" to hold on to them.
And to add on to the seriously shoddy work with the old men behind the scenes, how does "Marine girl wear + Genie + Candy" work together? What's with the confused theme? Mind you, it's pretty much something you would think up while seriously drunk, and I guess that Soju was the brainchild for this dirty concoction. Oh Yoona, such a bad influence on the SM execs!
And damn, what a cheap looking teaser.. And by "cheap" I mean, its pretty much what a "StringFellows" advert would look like, which is a British strip-bar. And with the slogan "Tell me your wish"... well.. it pretty much cements it. I wonder if they're parents had any idea all those years ago that their daughters would be cavorting in short shorts, sucking on lollipops, shaking their hips and looking like strippers, selling their bodies for all their worth...? Which apparently isnt much.
I think it's time to finally stamp a label on these girls and officially declare them unsuitable for minors, or as Papa LSM would have it, "30 and over only, bring cold hard cash, NO CREDIT!".
It's time for a name change SME, this is offensive on so many levels. It's not like the previous images weren't bad enough. I fear the full Music Video with this teaser, what with the rumored "bed" set and the also rumored "fake cake" set, this looks to be soft core porn for daytime apparently.

Join the Navy...
SNSD are back and "badder" than before... And somewhat more true to themselves this time...
Since SNSD cant seem to make money or the get the "right" sort of attention in the Entertainment biz, SM are throwing them back in to the mixing pond where they actually get some sort of attention.
Yes, unfortunately for our ears, Koreas and a lot of Ajummas who wish their husband would get a hobby like "fishing", the seemingly constantly confused girls of SM entertainment are coming back in to action.
Not even on "hiatus" long enough for anybody to miss them, they're releasing a second Mini-album on the 25th of the month.
Well, excuse me for being skeptical in this anti-forum, but really... That's all they could churn out? And is it just me, or does this seem to have come out in such a hurry that even SNSD fanboys are too busy doing other things to realise that they're "coming back".
What with the barrage of new girl groups and existing ones, currently in action and those starting new activities soon, it's no wonder SM is making them come back. Afterall, out of sight, out of mind, with such a shallow fandom. Interestingly enough, SNSDs new "image" reminds me of World War 2 pin up girls, just with OTT photoshopping and well striking color.
I for one, had seriously doubted this piece of news when I found out through staff and some members in the STANDcafe. For one, I checked Newsens frontpage, which would of course have all the headlining news, and nothing.... I went to check Navers most searched Kasu list and theyre not in the Top 10... For "Gee Syndrome SNSD", theres seems to be not so much hype or attention...
Nevertheless, of course that's going to change when the Ajoushis clock out of work or go on their lunchbreak, no doubt, and the fanboys will certainly perk up sooner or later. As for this new "Marine Girl" SNSD...O_O Really? Couldnt think of anything better SM? But I see the pants couldnt stay on long enough, ah well... Sisters gotta make money, somehow... And the faster you churn them out like this, the more desperate you are to make money off of them while theyre still remembered. Afterall, noones watching their special shows or Dramas, and you have to clear the embarassment of the Power of 3.3 somehow...

"지 신드롬"? More like "쥐". :3Tue 09 Jun 2009, 2:58 pm by Bento_box
Finally, after what seemed like yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaars to the MBC producers of Sunday Night Variety Show, "일요일 일요일 밤에/Sunday Sunday Night", the cancerous show that is "SNSDs Horror Factory" has been "abolished".
I could use all the cliched tags with this, "SNSD scares away viewers", "SNSD bestows their own Horror Show to MBC" or even "Horror was never this scary" and post a picture of the girls being scary. But Imma poke a little more fun before I kill this piece of news by poking it to death. And when I do, I would have done more than SNSD could do in their Variety segment. :3
In South Korea, where Idols reign supreme and they're brought in to increase viewer ratings whenever possible. It's quite intriguing to see that SNSDs variety show bombed to this extent. After the second show ratings, even we found it too boring to even follow the ratings, let alone the show.
It's a bit mind boggling, since the "Gee craze" was so well publicised, it's a "wonder" that SNSDs show tanked and they werent picked for the latest Season of "Idol Army", which was won out instead by their "rivals" Kara.
Considering that their fandom mainly consists of Ajoushis their fathers age and young pre-pubescent boys, again, it's not entirely surprising they wouldnt watch the show. Another clear indication that their personalities or whatever they "strive" to be (scream queens/kings), are not enough to bring in a loyal dedicated fandom that sees them as entertaining individuals worthy of their time. Instead, they would much rather tune in to simply see a bunch of mannequins jumping around wiping their behinds and kissing their hands on stage. Not degrading at all, eh?
But thank goodness, that after 6 episodes of abysmal ratings, even more abysmal acting and a show so boring even Soshi fans wish someone else starred in it, they're calling it quits.
I think what adds more insult to injury is, that not many people actually care it's being cancelled, since theyre all watching "Happy Sunday" (with awesome show 2Days, 1Night) or "Good Sunday" (with also awesome show "Family Outing"). MBC this time you failed miserably, next time, choose wisely and try not to succumb to pressure by Execs desperate enough to shove a falsely popular idol down your throat.
And by the way, it's FAR too early to start Horror Shows now. Any Korean would know that. I think MBC gave SNSD enough of a chance to redeem themselves, turns out they are that boring. This Sunday is their last show, let's thank the Heavens.
And just because I couldnt help it:

The inspiration for SNSD and main reason for SNSD to be in the business to this day.
It's not a pleasure for us to have to document on the sad mental demise of a few people working in an important section of an Entertainment company, but that truly seems to be the case with our beloved SM Entertainment.
Our last article highlighted "Delusionality at it's best", yet I do think when it comes to SNSD, that's always something they continue to outdo, be it with fans, the idols or the management company.
Recently, it has come to my attention, some internationally based articles about SM Entertainments sudden and miraculous jump out of the "Deficit pool". Dare I go back and link you to the prior article we concentrated on SM and their deficit. Now, since we know that SM at the end of last year had a 1.6 billion Won, deficit they managed to "make" around 2.8 billion Won, in this years first quarter.
When I actually looked over the so called articles that document that "SNSD was behind SM jumping out of deficit", I couldn’t help but further pity SNSDs fans, as they obviously have been fooled once again. Hilariously, might I add.
Let's get down to business shall we?
Just to prove my case I'm going to use the very sources that made out that SNSD were the heroes of SM Entertainment and their Board of Directors.
Why don't we start with the article that was used as a "source"... (Click for source)
One English article baffled me by their use of withholding information in delivering the news in a way that ultimately benefits SNSD. So much so, that I have full confidence in them having a worthy place in the crooked Public Relations department of SME.
